Position:	NDT Level 2 X-Ray Reader & Shooter	Department:	NDT
Location:	Crooksville	Reports to:	Area Supervisor/X-Ray Level III
FLSA Status:	Hourly	Shift:	2nd Shift Mon-Fri 3p-11p Must be willing to train on 1st shift

POSITION SUMMARY: Individual shall have sufficient education training and experience to ensure qualification and certification in accordance with company and NAS-410 requirement. Individual shall be able to interpret indications evaluate discontinuities to applicable standards and report results. The individual shall be capable of directing the work of trainees and other Level I and Level II personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Consistently assure that parts are properly processed to the applicable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Method specification throughout the casting and NDT inspection process.
• Communicate nonconforming product issues to Production Engineering and Quality.
• Read and interpret indications and evaluate discontinuities with reference to applicable Quality and/or Customer documents.
• Set up X-Ray equipment and shoot parts and/or techniques.
• Perform system quality checks specified in the applicable NDT Method Specification.
• Maintain and troubleshoot X-Ray equipment to meet production and specification/procedural requirements.
• Organize reports and maintain records of the NDT inspection results.
• Demonstrate the desire and drive to further knowledge and professional career.
• Technically and professionally capable of filling in for Level III on a temporary or permanent basis as required.
• Clean and maintain NDT equipment.
• Interface with customers and external auditors on a limited basis.
• Perform daily maintenance of Quality systems specifically NDT.
• Comply with all radiation safety guidelines as prescribed by the facility Radiation Safety Officer.
• Must maintain attendance in good standing and be available to work weekday and weekend overtime.
• Must be able to successfully pass a yearly visual acuity exam.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma. Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred.
• Level I or II X-Ray Certification preferred. (Documentation of experience/certification must be provided)

SKILLS:

• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to maintain radiography qualifications and all customer certifications.
• Must maintain a 90% or higher reliability/quality rating.

Other Qualifications :

• Ability to work weekday and weekend overtime.
• Ability to work any shift; shift flexible as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret QEIs.
• Ability to cross-train in airflow VO borescope and engraving.
