We are seeking a Server Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort.

Role summary:

The Server Assistant will service guests, assist with functions for servers, deliver food to guest tables according to hotel specification, courteously and efficiently. This role will assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment while providing lateral service when necessary. The ideal candidate will exemplify the values and beliefs of Eau Resort & Spa.

We have a full-time position available.

This role is a flexible position (AM/PM). All candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

This role is designated for our private club, La Coquille.

Essential qualifications:

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers to ensure mutual understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transporting items of varying weights, with or without accommodation.

Desirable:

• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine or food service.
• Certification in Alcohol awareness training.
• Certification in Food Handlers program.
• Previous guest relations training.

Essential skills:

• Ability to understand guests' service needs.
• Ability to access and input information into Micros system.
• Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to guests within any given period of time.
• Ability to focus on details.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests.
• Ability to maintain good coordination while preparing and serving orders quickly.
• Ability to exert strong physical effort in transporting cases of liquor and beer kegs from storeroom to bar.
• Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Ability to check the food chit and serve food to guests without asking.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
